Ps2 freezing games

this problem will be formed everywere for ps1 this can be fixed by giving this play station for service

It needs a new laser... it's a pretty common issue with older PS2s. The lasers simply eventually wear out after time. You can get a new laser for the older PS2s at the following website:

clean it

I had the same problem with my PS2 (big version) It would not load games consistently, and it would freeze ALL THE TIME. I turned it on its side (propped it up with books, lol) and it performed better (50% better) but it would still freeze. I tried cleaning the lens to no avail. Clean the lens with a lens cleaner, blow out any dust. No idea what else to do other than realigning the laser or sending it in under warranty. Since neither of those options would cost less than buying a whole new console, I would recommend finding a slim (small version) PS2 or if you already have the "slim" Just buy another one.

you might have a scratch on your game or the game might have a glitch. reset the ps2 and it should come back on, but if you get to the same part and it freezes again, it's most likely the game and not the ps2.

mite be ur ps2 get i renewed i had da same prob n sony sed itz da ps2. bye! :)

First step should be to change the game by the new one (or clean the disc). If this still not help please advice.
