My I-Mate Jam was sent in March 2007 for repair because it was freezing. It came back this August but still with mulfunction. I cannot access the programmes. It greets you with the I-Mate screen then a Windows Mobile screen asking you to tap the screen to set up my Pocket PC. When I tap the screen, the does not respond or come to where I have firmly tapped the screen - it goes to opposite direction. I do not want to send it in for repair because it will stay another more months before it comes back to me again and it is still under warranty. I think the best option is to get advice from you guys. Your advice is higly appreciated.
I have a similar problem but it related to two strange factors: A) The screen was pretty dirty, though I didn't think so. B) The RAM was low. I got a third party application which clears out the onboard RAM and all programs began to work better, including alignment. I'm two years into my JAM, wish it would take Windows Mobile 5 and will probably graduate up to the next HTC product soon. For all the foibles, it's still an incredible all in one device.

The problem is that The touch sensitive layer (above the LCD) is Damaged which normally happens if some kind of pressure is applied on the screen ( like Keeping it in the Pocket of ur jeans Pant)_ I am afraid that u have to send it again so the the touch screen can be replaced.....as there's no other soloution.
