My iP4200's been working fine for 7 months. One day it just stopped printing-says the mac (g4 OSX10.4) is not communicating. Spent hours with canon--they think it's the computer (new drivers don't work, printing from root account doesn't work, etc.) It WILL print a test print when commanded to via the printer utilities, which baffles me. Any ideas?
Do you have another computer to connect to for a test to eliminate the computer issue. If that does not work. The printer interface is probably bad. You should still have warranty. Make Canon repair it. Also try the simplest thing. Anew cable.
