There can be few possible reason why your machine does that, 1. it could be that there are many startup programmes when the computer has just openned up.
2. it could be that the antivirus you use is scheduled to do alot of background scan on start up.
it could be that the computer is overloaded or there is alot of virus in it.
try it this way, go to your computer's task manager:
the option tabs will be present and so you select startup;
disable unnecessary startup programmes and restart the computer.
another is to rescedule your anti virus processes..
