This could be the "thermal fuse" which usualy is next to the light bulb. Part cost around $5.00. Please check your manual for directions depending on light and times blinking.
I think this is a bulb problem it is a common problem for LCD rear projection this bulbs are good for around 2-4 years of use I think this is the problem at this point you have a very nice TV set and it will be a easy fix
Are you putting the lamp cover back in place before trying to turn the set on? The 2 blink error is a temperature error you might want to check the thermal sensor, is your lamp door warped?
hello.+ over voltage protection (OVP), unit goes to the standby mode then
displays the 3 blink fault. This is also a problem in the power supply
circuit, check T603 and R672.
New bulb is just fine. 3 blink shows that lamp cover after replacement of bulb in TV is not fixed properly or not seated well in its position. Put new bulb and carefully place back lamp cover in its position because lamp cover will press tinny safety switch inside that will send signal to system control of TV that lamp is installed properly. Turn On TV and get vivid picture of Sony. Thanks.
Press the input/device button and the menu button at the same time. Green LED will blink a two digit code blink 1st digit short pause blink 2nd digit longer pause and repeat. Any number of problems can cause this same symptom.
If the red LED your refering to is the Status LED and not the Lamp LED then you have big problems. A red Status LED indicates no communication from the Format board to the DMD board (light engine). 1/2 the time caps on the format board itself the other 1/2 must send entire electronics package to Mitsubishi.
I get 5 blinking red lights for about a minute or so before it powers back down. The Sony TV has a specific light that i presume is supposed to light up when the bulb is out. I'm unsure if this is what it is. no picture, no sound. tries to boot with green light blinking a few times. then goes to red blinking light, six in all, then waits a few moments, then another 6 blinking red light.
Bulb was already replaced several months ago but we do have the TV on for long periods of time.
Please answer this question. Were the 4 bulbs visabley bad; say broken or did they have a milkey look, or broken wire inside? In other words did the bulbs you replaced look as good as a new unused bulb? Please reply.
