Seems Deere didn't put diagrams on their 100 series mowers, just to save a buck I guess?
Sure are a lot of complaints online over it for this to just be a mistake? Not on the deck like most mowers are, not under hood nor under its seat. Simply not on this damn mower.. I got the belt on ok because I've worked on mowers many yrs but some folks may really struggle to do so, what a joke JD is today.

Remember the belt rule, V of the belt goes in V pulleys.Flat pulleys that are stationary or move get the back of the belt. You can figure it out. Its not rocket science. Remember at some point there has to be a tensioner, usually gets the back of the belt if its a flat pulley. U may have to remove the spring and then reattach the spring after the belt is routed.

Ok Simple Rule
V BELTS go in V pulleys
Flat pulleys get the back of the belt. You must take the deck off the tractor to do this properly. Look inside the hood I have seen belt diagrams there or on top of the deck.
