Manual settings of Aircel Gprs for my HTC SURROUND t8788

My handset does not support the GPRS settings but my browser does get open and i have even downloaded some less size application. but whenever i try for the large size application, it gets failed after it starts. i have been facing this problem from a week. and my signal strengths are impressive.so kindly provide me manual setting for my handset of aircel gprs as soon as possible....my handest is HTC SURROUND T8788

SOURCE: htc gprs connections problem

Was your phone bought there? Some phones do not work in other parts of the world, with or without GPRS, etc. That is not something that we could help you with, what you need to do is contact customer service and explain your dilemma to them. It may be that it is just not compatible with your phone, and therefore will not work regardless.

Please contact your AIRCEL customer care of ask them to provide gprs settings.
They will send gprs settings to you.

check if you chap / pap authentication is selected.... use the one required by your network.

>> Prepaid Subscribers:
To Activate:
  • Just send SMS request in the following format "GPRS BP < 1st three letters of handset name> < Model No.>" to 57788
  • You will receive the following message as confirmation "Thank you for your request for activating Aircel Online Basic Plan. Plan charges: 10p/10KB, No monthly rental. To confirm send YESBP to 57788"
  • Just send YESBP to 57788, and you will receive the OTA settings and the following two messages
    • Message 1: "Thank you for your request. Aircel Online (GPRS) will be activated within 48 hrs"
    • Message 2: "Dear Subscriber, Kindly save the GPRS settings to be sent to you shortly"
  • After Successful activation, you will receive the following message "Dear Subscriber, Aircel Online (GPRS) has been successfully activated. Enjoy browsing internet from your mobile phone"
Tariff Plans:
  • No monthly rental charges
  • Charges on usage: 10p/ 10KB
  • SMS sent to 57788 will not be charged

HTC P3450 Aircel Gprs settings
Click On Start Button
Click On Settings
Click On Connection Tab
Select Connections Icon
Select Add a New Modem Connection under My ISP Enter Connection Name = Aircel
Select Cellular Line (GPRS) from Modem drop down list
Click On Next
Access Point Name =
aircelgprs.po (Postpaid),
aircelgprs.pr (Prepaid) Click On Next
Leave User Name & Password fields Blank
Click On Finish
To Connect the GPRS
Click On Start Select Internet explorer and type the Address
http://google.com

IF NOT WORKING THEN CONTACT UR AIRCEL CUSTOMER CARE, BUT REMEMBER IT IS NOW PAID, CHARGES 0.50 PAISE FOR PER 3 MINUTES.
