Problem with RCA TV Model 27F634T

It may be arching from the flyback. If you are familiar with tv's remove the plastic case plug it in and turn it on and see if you can see anything visual happening. Make sure not to touch anything and keep a safe distance when inspecting.

check in your manual and follow instructions on updating the software. you download the file to computer then move it to a memory stick (USB), then simply insert it into the tv

on that one ive had the button board causing problem--remove board--spray wd40 on buttons--push buttons a few times--wipe off bwd--reinstall bwd

Take the back off and try to isolate where the sound is coming from.

it may just be a static buildup from the dust.
open the tv and blow it out with a air compressor.
if that doest not work then the circuit may be overloading.
remember it stores a charge for days.

How old is this TV?
Sounds like it has high voltage failure.
(If you hold your hand on the screen when you try and turn it on, do you feel the static? )
Unless the set is over 10 years old, I would overhaul the high voltage circuit. Should cost under $200 at a shop.

Have you tried to access the menu features and tried to retune the stations on digital, or are you hooked up for analog.
If you don't know about what i speak, give me a yell. [email protected] I believe my remote sensor card is bad. While this might explain why you can't turn yours off, it would not explain the blank picture. If the menu does show, i would think the picture tube is O.K. if the menu does not show, there are some other things to look at.

look on the rear of the set and find out what chassis in your set.
