What causes the manitowoc ice machine to cut off during the freeze cycle

It just is cut out when it in the freeze cycle when building ice and cuts off for a few minutes and cuts back on

Most of the problems on ice machines is a restriction in water circulation due to no maintenance. Might need some cleaning to be done.

Usually that is just your power switch. They are easy to replace.

You're bridge thickness is set to high, lower the bridge on the sensor located when you open the front door behind the water curtain on the top. If the sensor is scaled badly replace it.

start with locating and cycling the defrost timer switch, generally found in the refrigerator side. The timer controls a heating element designed to melt off ice build up on the interior freezer coils. if the timer is bad, ice will build up, blocking air flow to the refrigerator section (making it not cool) and eventually build up enough so that the internal fan actually hits ice, making unusual noises. most timers can be manually driven with a flat head screwdriver, do it with the power connected, when you reach the defrost cycle you will hear the fans and compressor shut off, and you should be able to feel warmth on the back panel in the freezer after a few minutes.

if you find the timer isn't working properly, it is not difficult to replace, take your time, take pictures as you go along so reassembly is easier, and of course have the frige unplugged when you do it.

In the manual the fix is to clean the ice maker with cleaner. Your ice slab is not releasing during harvest. The plate (evaporator) has minerals on it and needs to be cleaned to remove the build up. On the door of the unit has cleaning instruction, do not short cut the cleaning process, this does take about an hour and follow the instruction to the letter.

This is not a major issue, just cleaning is needed.

You either have a problem with the defrost circuit or the drain tube is blocked. To check you will need to remove the back panel from the freezer section to check. Behind that panel is the evaporator or cooling coils. If it is completely encased in ice, then the problem is that the defrost circuit has failed. To troubleshoot, see below. Otherwise check the drain tube for blockage. It is located just below the coils in the center Remove any debris and stick a length of wire down the drain to clear it of any blockage. Pour a cup of water down the drain and check that it goes down and enters the pan below the fridge.

The water source that is causing ice build up on your coils comes from the air. The coils are below freezing and the water in the air are freezing on to the coil. The defrost circuit in your fridge has failed. It is made up of three parts, the defrost timer, defrost heater, and thermostat.

The way it works is that normally the compressor has power for 8 hours, then the timer cuts power off and sends power to the defrost heater for about 45 minutes. The heater is attached to the coil and warms up the coil to melt the ice. When the coil reaches about 40 deg F, the thermostat which is in series with the heater, opens up cutting off power to the heater. This prevents the freezer from getting too hot. After the 45 minutes are up, the timer switches the power back to the compressor again to restart the 8 hour cooling cycle.

Any of the three components can fail causing you not to get the defrost cycle to work. Typically the timer stops advancing so you either stay in permanent cooling or defrost mode. Or the heater burns out so it can

Turn the unit on and it fills up with water,then goes into defrost cycle then into freeze cycle it starts freezing then just cuts off with no lights on board, not even red power light then will try again...
Most all of Hoshi ice makers have power go thru the bin stat first. It sends power to the board and everything then powers up. Start there and get back to me.I will need model and serial numbers to be sure I have the correct wiring diagram for your unit should we need to go any further. Good Luck.

Ice cream comes out fine at first the mashine doesn't cut off then it seems that the ice cream freeses in the cylinder to the point its to hard to come out
Use slightly warm ingredients or leave the freezer bowl out of the freezer for a few minutes before beginning - this will help if the rim around bowl freezes so fast that it stops the paddle from moving. When working optimally, I found that 3 different Cuisinart ice cream maker models will produce the best ice cream at around 14 to 20 minutes - no more than that. But it varies by your exact model #.

Thats what it's supposed to do hopefully the clothes are coming out dry. The dryer has both thermal sesors and fuses that tell the dryer when to heat up and when to cool down. So yes the heating element will come on and go off multiple times in a cycle.

Loud whirring noise that stops when freezer door is open.
It is most likely your circulation fan in the freezer. Normally the fan stops when you open the door. It is a normal operation. Check to make sure that the fan is not blocked by frozen items or that the fan doesn't have an ice build up. On some models the fans stops when you open the door and starts a few minutes later after you close the door.
