You can reset your password through the secondary e-mail address if you provided any. The password reset link will be sent on that particular mail-id and you will be able to reset your password and access with it on yahoo mail.

SOURCE: Dear sir/madam, i forget my yahoo id password

Hello there!

Unfortunately, if you have forgotten your username or password and even your security question/answer, you can no longer recover your email services. You just have to create a new one.

However, try to click the "forgot password" and then the reset password link might be sent to your secondary email address, if you register one.

Good luck!

I forgot my security to log in my email yahoo I need help

When you set up the account, you chose answers to specific security questions. You also were asked to provide a backup email address. You appear to have forgotten the password and the answers to your security questions and may not have provided an alternative email address. If you clicked "forgot my password", the opportunity to change that password could have been sent to the second email address. Now it appears you have also forgotten the password and answers to the security questions for the second account. That is a lot of forgetting. I would store my passwords in a "password safe" application but tht poses the challenenge of remembering the password to the safe or writing it somewhere you would inevitably look. The second link below may be what you are looking for if the yahoo help page does not avail you.

Forgetting your Yahoo! password or ID can happen to anyone, Yahoo! has established procedures for you to retrieve both without having to create a new account.

The password and ID retrieval process is a short and simple one, but you must follow it exactly. The forgotten password process does not give you the password you created when signing up for the account, it gives you a new one, which you can change later.

Forgotten Password

To recover your Yahoo! account password, click on the "Sign In" link from the Yahoo! homepage, which will take you to the "Sign in to Yahoo!" page.

Follow the "I can't access my account" link directly below the yellow "Sign In" button. Select the "I forgot my password" radio button on the next page and then click "Next."

Enter your Yahoo! ID and the code as it is shown and then click "Next."
From the following page, choose whether you want your password sent to the alternate email address or cellular phone number given when the account was created, and then click "Next."

An email is then sent to your alternate email address or cellular phone inviting you to reset your password.

Forgotten ID

From the Yahoo! homepage, follow the "Sign In" link located near the top of the page.
On the next page, click on the "I can't access my account" link directly below the yellow "Sign In" button.

On the next page, you must provide the alternate email address, birth date, country of residence and postal code given when the account was created.

When finished, click on the "Next" button and your ID will be emailed to your alternate email address.

Password Security Questions

If you do not have access to the alternate email address or cellphone number provided when the Yahoo! account was created, you must click the "I can't access any of the above" radio button on the "Please select an option to reset your password" page.

After clicking "Next," you must provide the answers to the security questions selected when the account was created before you are able to reset the account's password.

When All Else Fails

If the Yahoo! account password or ID retrieval methods don't work, you may want to create a new Yahoo! account.

This is done by following the "Sign Up" link at the top of the Yahoo! homepage, next to the "Sign In" link mentioned earlier.

If you choose to create a new account, be sure to remember the alternate email and cellular number you provide in case you find yourself in a similar situation down the road.

Yahoo Email Password

When you sign up for a free Yahoo! account, you gain access to the extensive features of the Yahoo! community and receive a free email account.

As with any account, it is a wise idea to change your Yahoo! password a few times a year in order to ensure its security.

Knowing where to go in Yahoo! to change your password will allow you to do it quickly.

Sign into your Yahoo! email account.

Click on your Yahoo! name at the top of the webpage to access drop-down options.
Select the "Profile" option.

Your account page will open.
Place your cursor over "Account Info" in the toolbar.
Options will again drop down.

Click "Change Password."

Type in your current Yahoo! email password in the first text box.
Enter your new Yahoo! password in the lower two text boxes.

Click "Save."

Your Yahoo! password is now changed.

L want open my email and lost my password

It's part of human nature to forget. Luckily, online there are ways to retrieve a password if it is forgotten. Yahoo! Messenger is one of the many instant messaging programs available, and it provides an in-depth and secure process to retrieve a forgotten password. After answering questions that only you should know, you will be able to give your account a new password.
1.Click "Forgot Password" under the password box on Yahoo! Messenger. This will open your web browser to a Yahoo! support page to start with the password resetting process.
2.Select "I forgot my password" and click "Next."
3.Enter your Yahoo! ID. You can enter your full Yahoo! email or just the first half of it (without the "@yahoo.com").
4.Enter the CAPTCHA code underneath and click "Next." CAPTCHA codes keep your account safe from computer bots trying to gain access to your information. If you cannot see the code, you can click "Need audio assistance" to listen to the code or click "Can't read this code" for a different randomly generated code.
5.Select the option to reset the password. Choose the email address you provided as your alternate address to have the reset password emailed to you or click "I can't access any of the above" to get it through the web browser. Click "Next" when done.
6.Answer the security questions you chose if you selected "I can't access any of the above." Click "Next" after each one. If you chose to receive the password by mail, open your email and select "Reset My Password."
7.Enter your new password in the boxes that appear and click "Next." You will then be brought to a web page where you can change your password retrieval options, but your password has already successfully been changed. This page is optional.

You can't. You will have to contact support and somehow prove your ownership of the account if you have forgotten your password and the answers to the security questions.

I forget my yahoo mail id password but i remember answers of both security questions. i don't want to reset my password, i want to retrieve my old password, please help me.

You cannot retain the forgotten password because no one has the password but you. Since you have forgotten the password you can only be prompted to change the password to something else you can remember if you answer the security questions correctly .
