How to change my HP psc 1210 default to print in black (no color)

go to Start/Control Panel/Printers & Faxes/ "Right Click on your printer" click Printer Preferences
There will be a tab for you to modify color to gray-scale or Black ink only

Thanks for using FixYa. First of all please try the refill cartridge on some other printer. If it’s working fine on the other printer then check the settings of the printer which are by default 960 dpi (dots per inch) but due to some reason this size has been reduced. Now you have to change this setting to more than 960, around 1200 dpi and then check out that if your printer works fine.

Please do accept the solution if the issue is resolved or else revert for further assistance.

please install the printer hp 1200 series

just chek ur black catridge is working or not just try to clean it and install

It strabge... Anyway u just clean your print heads and nozzles... it shuld make it fine... or just replace ur catridge...

Gray print does not use black ink. It only uses the color cartridge. I assume you already changed the black cartridge. Make sure it is the right one for your printer and it is not a generic refill. The generic might be OK but I wouldn"t trust it complety. Make sure your cartridge is properly seated in the holder.

First off, I will try an uninstallation of the printer
Then reinstall all the drivers and software for the printer.

Sounds like Color cartridge problem...
Colors on the cartridge are mixed together

After pressing Print, their will be a preferences button, click that and on the first tab should be an option to print with grey scale.
