I've had a few problems with my 30gb zen since I bought it in that it freezes alot and it won't play movies.
But the problem Im having now is that it won't charge!
I reinstalled the software on my PC last night and had to reinstall the zen cd, but now it won't charge. It goes on but thats it. It doesn't even come up under 'my computer', so I can't get the files I eed from it,
I've tried it on different PC's before and it would only work on my PC at home, and now I have no way of charging it!
Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it.
Some USB ports are not powered. I've had problems on certain computers with it working/charging correctly. Laptops especially. Car charger works great everytime. Go figure. Some PC's may have an older version of WMP on it, which somehow gum's up the detection processes. Make sure the PC has WMP 11, and the drivers you need/Creative software on it.

theres a access hole on the bottom side of the player that says reset use a straighten out paper clip and insert to push the reset button and the player will reboot good luck
i had this problem alot for first week or two when moving stuff about best bet is to reset the little bugger leave it to sort itself out with the newly transfered data then switch off and upoun power up reset again hope it helps :)
You'll need to trouble-shoot your Zen. For detailed instructions on how to troubleshoot your Zen, click here. You may also need to replace your Zen's motherboard.
it may be in a low power state, try a different usb cable and hook it
up to a desktop computer (laptop ports are sometimes not powerful
enough to charge the battery when it is in a low-power state). I had this exact same problem and that fixed it!
Also check out creative.com/support and look at their support forumns
i guess it's some kind of... piracy filter. If the clip is too long, the player will automatically asume that you've downloaded a movie illegally. that what i think.
Have you tried updating the firmware of your Zen V Plus? I've had mine for almost an year and haven't had these issues -- I updated the firmware as soon as I unpacked it.
try downloading the MP3 player recovery tool from Creative's website (the tool contains the latest firmware update available -- 1.15.03). Plug your ZV+ into your PC, run the program and let it update the firmware. Then format, reload your music and try it.
By the way, before updating the firmware, let the battery have a full charge, ok?
I hope it won't keep freezing on you after the update. Connection Problems: Make sure you have media player 11 If you can, the best test is to try your player with another PC, to see if you still have the problem. This localises whether the problem is with the PC (most likely the USB) or the player. See the link below (search on "connection problems") for a lot more troubleshooting on this. Download recovery tool off creative's website. go to my computer > click on hardware tab >
click on device manager button > in the is next screen on the bottom should have>>universal serial bus controllers
(write these down just in case it cant find them)
right click on them and uninstall
reboot let windows reinstall them Also told Microsoft hotfix causes this problem try uninstalling the last hotfix If that doesn't fix it trythe USB cable
