Transfering Text messages to my pc or onto external memory
I have had the phone for about 3 months and now cannot receive any new messages because the memory is full.
I do not want to delete the messages. So, do you know how i can move these messages onto my PC or at least onto my external memory? Like some 3rd party software, a kind of "SMS Manager for LG Shine KE970"
If there is no way to do this, I need to buy a new phone. Do you know of any phones that are designed to be used by 'text message hoarders' like myself?

You have no memory on your phone. The best way to solve this is to get a memory card and transfer what you can onto it. It will free up the memory for texts
To print your text messages, you could download an app called "Email My Texts SMS". You email the texts to yourself, you can save the email or print it. It is easy to use and highly rated.
Now there are two ways you can resolve the low storage problems for your text messaging issue.
The first one is to delete the unwanted messages and then you will not get the warning; and you will be able to receive your text messages again.
The second is to introduce a bigger memory module card into your phone and save the sent messages to that; however the issue with this is that you will still end up with the same problem eventually.
Now my way though of resolving this is a combination of the above; but instead of saving the sent and received messages onto your handset; why not download and keep them on a PC or a laptop, using available software to synchronise with your phone and computer. Then you can simply delete all your messages in one hit, straight off of the phone and you will have all of your free space on your phone again.
I hope that this is the fixya for you and I look forward to hearing how you get on with this.
total SMS memory is 500 ie 200 for inbox , 200 for sentbox, 50 outbox and 50 for drafts. your my folder SMS's are still considering in inbox. that should not be more than 200.
contact your network provider and ask for a sim update and a gprs install message, this will sort the problem, also you may need to change your message service cantre number, here are the following uk ones : Network operatorSMS Centre NumberO2 (Was BT Cellnet / Genie mobile)+447802000332 (contract) +447802092035 (pay as you go) Alt: +447802000334T-Mobile (was One2One)+447958879879Orange+447973100973 Alt: +447973100974Vodafone+447785016005Tesco Mobile+447802092035Virgin+4479588798903 / Three+447782000800
