You have to empty out the waste toner bottle... The bottle is a milky white plastic and I believe it is right under the fuser unit. It should slid out toward you. Carefully dump the toner out of the bottle into a plastic garbage bag and re install the bottle and you are done....
This code relate to the waste toner sensor, which means your waste toner tank is full, what you can do is, take out the imaging unit(is the unit where the toner sit) look at the lower sides, there is screw from each side, take off the screw and dump the waste toner out.(use plastic bag because it is going to be a mess if you do not use one. If you do not want to go through all this procedure just order the imaging unit and replace it.
1. Open the front cover 2. Lower the transport unit 3. Pinch the cleaning blade release lever and slide the cleaning unit out. 4. Remove the 4 screws in the top cover of the unit. 5. Dump out the waste toner.
This is a code for the waste toner bottle being too full. The copier usally displays that the waste toner is getting full and needs to be dumped. But if the customer ignores this message for too long it goes into this code. Empty the waste toner bottle behind the front door. Be sure to clean the neck of the bottle also. Reinstall the bottle and power down the copier and turn it back on. Things should be OK then.
That means that you have ITB waste toner full error. Clean the waste toner container. It is located behind front door, right from toner slots, you need screwdriver to unscrew one screw, and remove plastic cover above waste toner container. When you vacume or dump waste toner, wash it very well, and dry it.
Did you replace the waste (used) toner cartridge or the empty toner cartridge? These copiers have 2 "cartridges" .... one is waste (used) toner, the other is "new" toner for copying / printing etc. Some newer copiers have All in One units....Drum, New Toner, Waste (used) Toner. If you replaced the Waste Toner container (or dumped it) that should reset the code or error message.
This error code means that the waste toner bottle is full. Most likely it is not full, the waste toner bottle neck gets some waste toner on it and it blocks the sensor.... It is a bad design by Canon. The waste toner bottle is on the Left side of the copier, toward the rear of the copier. The cover is held in by one screw, the cover comes off and the Waste Toner Bottle is inside. Turn the copier OFF by the Main Power Switch on the Right side of the copier. Carefully, dump the waste toner out in a plastic bag. Hopefully, without any holes in it. Wipe OFF all the toner OFF the neck of the bottle. You will see what looks like a DOT on each side of the neck.Make sure the inside and out side is clean. Reinstall the bottle and cover and then turn the Main power ON and the Code should be gone. Good Luck....
