SOURCE: I have a SX-135 weed

If you are not getting any spark, it's the ignition module

runs about 65 dollars. may be cheaper if you shop around.

if you have access to an ohm meter , set it above 12vdc

common to ground, and the positive in the spark plug

boot, sometimes the connection can break from connecting

and disconnecting, pull on the cord as if to start it, if the

ohm meter shows 12vlts or above, the ignition module

is good, if it shows less than 12vlts the ignition module is bad. good luck!

John Deere weed eater model s1400 no spark

I am guessing the ignition is a self-contained module so unless the kill switch or wire is damaged and grounding or the flywheel magnet has lost magnetism the ignition module will have to be replaced - unless the spark plug connector is a suppressor type and then it is possible the internal resistor is open circuit.

Ideal gap can vary depending on the brand of spark plug.

Best solution is to choose your spark plug brand and then check in the online application catalogue for that brand - the recommended gap is usually listed alongside the type listed for your machine.

John deere 260g weed eater how the line goes on keeps breaking

Does the line break or is it the head. If it is the line try using a thicker type of line, or a better brand. if the head is broken this may need to be replaced, but first check to see if you have it correctly assembled.
