I have a gateway FPD2275W 22 in. LCD monitor....when I first turn on my PC I have the windows logo come on & then my screen turns white.
I can hear the music that comes on while starting up....I can turn my screen off & back on & sometimes that works... I can unplug my screen & plug it back in & it will work just fine....but if I leave my PC on & leave it...my screen will blank again. I have replaced my power cord because I first thought that was the problem. Other than that my PC runs fine as long as I am using it & not letting it go to sleep. Can you give my any advise on what might be going on with my monitor?
Do I need to replace it? or is there something I can do on my end of it to fix it? Thanks for any help on this matter.....
This is a common problem with many LCD monitors. The
printed circuit board that provides a stable voltage for the monitor to operate
from starts to fail. The PCB can be replaced, when/if they are available, or repaired
in most cases at a much lower cost. for more information on this email me at

Ok, I am having the same problems as this person here. But I do not know what you mean by caps. Can you please explain? That would be really helpful to me. Thank you.
