It is easier to use the Web Image Monitor(WIM) of the machine by typing the IP address of your device on the address bar of IE. Then if are able to enter the WIM, log in as administrator, username is admin and password is null. While on the admin mode you are ready to add users on the addressbook, you can set email and scan to folder.

Ricoh is having a major problem with touch screens on a lot of the newer machines. Contact a dealer to see if yours is one of them and for replacement.

You need to install a PDF printer driver on your computerfirst. There are quite a few freeware PDF writer programs on the Internet youcan download one such as CutePDF.
From the computer scan your document then click on File - Print and select the PDF writer as theprinter device. Then name and save the PDF file.
