Mitsubishi WD-52327 52" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television Logo
Anonymous Posted on Apr 18, 2013

Still has a beautiful picture but after a short period of time the screen will flash out (completely black) and then come right back.

I want to call it flickering but in reality it's less frequent than flickering would be considered. It's not always the same pattern either (several quick bursts vs one or two). When it goes out it's as fast as turning a light bulb on and when it comes back it's just as fast. I'm wondering if it is the bulb but I don't want to spend the $ on such an old TV if it's actually more like a circuit board issue. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the response Kramd. The problem has somehow gone away (for now). I bought a new LED and moved this TV into another room. It hasn't been an issue since the move across the house. Unfortunately, it didn't matter what source device I was using but that was a great thought.

SOURCE: Mitsubishi VS-5041 50 Inch Rear Prorjection TV No image but there is sound!

After 11 years???? OMG This set is a tired pup and should be put to reast. My experience with older sets and your complains are all capacitor problems and is only gonna get worse as the first time around repair will take several capacitors to repair. This set has no user serviceable parts inside so you should not attempt a repair suchj as this on your own.. This repair if you decide to go through the first time will be About 300 to 600 bucks the first time and cost will continue to raise till the sets put to sleep. Good luck

SOURCE: Mitsu. 60-inch VS-60609 Green Light goes out..tv goes off.

You are dealing with bad solder connections. The solution is to pull the board, put it under a magnifying glass and resolder all suspicious connections. before going too far with pulling the chassis, look over all the boards near the egde under the tubes. Be sure there is no liquid present, if there is give it up the set is toast. If not then continue on and place piece of plastic draped over the front of the left and middle boards to about 5 inches in towards the center just before putting the back on the set.

SOURCE: I have a Mitsubishi VS-50607 with a Code 24 Problem

its just a condenser(capacitor) ..so just try to locate it ..from the image board..cause Im sure that all this time the sound its still on ...just carefully measure 'em all and locate it ...after that just change it with another one or try to put something similar on the same size.. I can not tell you the exact one cause Im not familiar with the model ...but I do had this problem with the concentrated horizontal (middle screen ) line ...and always was about this ....

No parts are needed. You need to resolder the DY connectors on all the yokes.

No picture, good sound...replaced both main inverter and slave inverter and still no picture.

Fault at its main digital board. Short circuited component/s at it. Contact any service technician; or the authorized service center. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary. .

We are now on our 3rd 5.0 bushnell night sentry camera and the night pictures are black. With the second camera, we might get the first picture where the flash goes off, but the subsequent ones are black....

OK, I think that this is a problem with the flash not working correctly, and you are within the warranty period, I'm hoping, so that you can get it replaced.

Power shouldn't be an issue since you have a solar panel.

Picture goes black on and off but sound still on

This could be a sign that the picture tube is starting to fail. To prove this try the following: Please note that there are potentially dangerous high voltages present inside the set, so be careful.

Unplug the set and remove the back. Locate the flyback transformer (lower right when facing the back of the set and has a lare red wire coming out the top.) There should be 2 controls on that part. One should be labeled screen the other focus. Turn the screen control slightly clockwise. Turn on the set. If the blanking stops, then this will "fix" the problem for a short period. This is not a final fix, but a short tern remedy to give you time to locate a replacement set.

If the above does not resolve the problem, please update this and we'll investigate further.

Thanks,
Dan

White flashes on screen , then temporary black screen.

Blank Screen..Will not power off

Have you checked your video source to ensure that this isn't a problem with your PC or whatever you're displaying on it? Try using a different display and see what happens. Try putting this LCD on a different PC and see what happens. If indeed it is this screen then it could be something as simple as a loose cable. Start simple and work from there.

Blank Screen..Will not power off

The flash light test only works with lcd monitor as they have back lights. Double check the connections again, also, if you can borrow a monitor try it on your pc, it may be your graphics driver needs to be uninstalled and re-installed, but you will need a monitor to see.
