Where did all the lovely music go? When your iPod Classic freezes up, you may need to restart or reset the iPod. Follow these steps to reset an iPod Classic, or in fact any iPod with a Click Wheel.

Make sure the iPod Classic isn't simply paused or locked. Check the screen for a lock symbol. If you see a lock, unlock the Hold switch. You should be back in business. Put the iPod on a flat surface to stabilize it. Slide the Hold switch on, then slide it off. Hold down Select and Menu together for several seconds with two fingers. Make sure your finger isn't touching the Click Wheel. When the Apple logo appears, release Select and Menu. If the iPod Classic doesn't reset, repeat the above step. If that still doesn't get your iPod Classic to restart, plug the iPod into a power adapter or a computer and see if it starts up.

Help with Forgotten or Lost Lock Combinations from Master Lock Master... The locksmiths will not give combination without you visiting a dealer. Maybe you can at first try a few different combinations to see if you can do it yourself but don't get frustrated and take the lock to a dealer to save time and energy.

Forgotten cipher lock combo
First, you need to have access to both sides of the lock (door must be open).

If you are technically able, you can disassemble the lock, remove the combination unit and take the cover off of it. From there you can determine the combination and then re-assemble. The instructions for this can be found online.

If you are not technically able, you should not attempt this and bring the lock to a locksmith or get a new one.

I have a Roncato hard shell with a 3 digit combination lock under the handle. I set the combination YEARS ago, had a young child play "horsey" on it, and turned all the numbers! You can not reset your lock combination without knowing the original combination you had set.

If you have forgotten your lock combination, then there are 2 solutions.

1. You could use Bolt Cutters to break the Lock open.

2 . Sometimes, the simplest solution is often overlooked, as your lock is a 3 digit combination lock, and if you have about 30 minutes to spare, then why not try all the possible combination from 000 - 999 ( 000, 001, 002, 003 through to 999) You may think this will take a long time, but it should not take you more than 30 minutes and if the first digit of your forgotten code starts with a 0, 1, 2, or 3.. then it will take significantly less than 30 minutes. Try it out, as it will save you from having to buy a new lock if you use bolt cutters.
