I have tried to delete the date/time imprint.
Set to Yellow icon-menu-scroll down to date imprint-pressed the right button of the multi selector. This brought up date and time, clicked on 'off' but the date time remained. How do I delete it please.
To remove date imprint. This is the solution provided by Nikon more than a year ago. Switch on> set to green>menu>scroll down to Date Imprint.press centre/right on multi selector>select 'off.' Job done

The date imprint feature is not available in all shooting modes. These include the Museum or Panorma mode. To turn on the feature if it is off, press the Menu button and then choose the Setup Menu. (The icon is a stylized wrench.) Go to the menu item Date Imprint and set this to Date or Date and Time. Note: the date (and time) will be easier to read if the Image Mode is set to PC screen (1024). Make sure that the date and time is correct in those menu areas.
Press the MENU button to bring up the main menu. Press cursor-left to get to the tabs. Use cursor-up/down to select the Setup tab (the wrench icon). Press cursor-right or the OK button.Use cursor-up/down to select "Date Imprint" and press cursor-right. Make your selection, press OK. Press MENU to exit the menus.
Full details are in the "Basic Camera Setup: The Setup Menu" section of the manual (starting on page 159 in my copy). If you need a manual, you can download one from the manufacturer's web site at http://support.nikontech.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/16031
Select Setup, then select "Date Imprint". It's in the "Date Imprint" subsection of "The Setup Menu" section of the manual (pages 95 and 91 in my copy).
If you need a manual, you can download one at http://www.nikonusa.com/pdf/manuals/coolpix/CP4800_en.pdf
Press MENU to display the menu screen. Press left on the multiselector to enter the menu. Press up/down to select the Setup tab (the wrench icon). Choose "Date" (the clock icon if you're only seeing icons). Left/right moves through the items, up/down adjusts the current item.
Set the image size to 'postcard'. Press the Function key, scroll down to the bottom icon and select postcard (L, M1, M2, S, postcard). Press Function key again.
To turn the date imprint on, go to the Record menu and set the option for Date Stamp to Date or Date & Time.
