We dryed a load of clothes last night, and then this morning nothing. We put a load in the dryer, and nothing. There is power getting to the dryer, and the door latch is secure. Nothing is working. We are in the military and have been at our current duty assignment for approximately 1 year, and the dryer has worked great until today.

the fellow IN FRONT OF ME MAY BE RIGHT BUT from WHAT i BELIEVE YOUR SAYING IS 1-its 220v electric dryer? sorry about the cap lock was on ; 2 -you have power - which means either you have 1 line of 220 v comming in or both lines.
If you check power to ground it will mislead you. check across line L1 to L2 and L1 - N and L2 - N then if you have a goound L1 - Ground and L2 to ground and post me the readings, you should read (if your in USA) L1 - L2 220 = 245Vac; L1 -N & L2 - N 110 - !28V And L1 & L2 to Ground 110 to 128V Any readings beyond these and you need to reset the breaker even if 1 is reading correctly turn it off and back on then retry it.
If it was the thermal link like the fellow said above it would do more than just protect the heating circut and it may indeed have one for that reason. Check power to the cord connection after checking the wall outlet. If you have power to this point He may well be correct.
