Paused I bought a new printer because my Kodak 5100 will not print. Everytime I try and print something it says "paused". There is NO pause button that I can touch to unpause it. I have tried cleaning it, changing the ink cartridge and turning it of and back on, nothing has worked. My new printer is a cannon and it is nice, it just goes through ink so much faster than my kodak did. If you could help me that would be great! ~Amy L. H.

If the status from the printing source writes "paused" despite the green tick, there are a few possible reasons why this may be happening:
Printer software: The printer software may be set to pause the print job. Check the printer software settings to see if there are any options to pause the print job.
Print queue: The print job may be paused in the print queue. Check the print queue on your computer or device to see if the print job is paused. If it is, try resuming the print job.
Paper jam: A paper jam can cause the printer to pause the print job. Check the printer for any paper jams and clear them if necessary.
Low ink or toner: If the printer is low on ink or toner, it may pause the print job. Check the ink or toner levels and replace them if necessary.
Connectivity issues: Connectivity issues between the printer and the computer or device can also cause the print job to pause. Check the connection between the printer and the computer or device and make sure it is properly established.
If you're unsure about any of these steps or are not comfortable troubleshooting the printer on your own, it's always best to contact the printer manufacturer or a professional technician for assistance. They can help diagnose and fix the problem safely and effectively.
On the printer properties on the computer there will be a paused option (Normally marked as "Pause Printing") in the printer drop down menu on the Printer Queue screen. Click this to remove the tick next to it and it should start printing again.
Hello, sounds like your drivers are messed up, reload them to the computer or the connection cable maybe bad. If neither of these fix then the printer is bad.
Basically the problem is caused by the printer spooler which is a printer system file that was installed on windows XP For this problem kindly try doing the ff:
Thanks for using FIxYa. Please turn the printer off and then cancel all the print queues pending in the bottom toolbar by double clicking on the printer logo if you want to delete all the pending printing files. Now turn the printer on. If you do not want to cancel all the printing jobs then you can double click on the printer logo showing in the right side of the bottom tool bar and then right click on the printing jobs pending for printings then click on restart printing. Issue will be resolved and it will not show ‘paused status’.
Please do rate the solution and revert for further assistance.
It might be that the memory chip is fryed and it thinks that you are hitting the pause button, or eather it is that something is caught in the pause button. Take it a part or find something that will fit in between the pause button and clean it.
