Wharfedale DVDR24HD160F No picture on TV and SET UP on display

I've Got the Whafedale DVDR24HD160F and had for just over a year now. Had no problems till recently when i turned it on and there was no picture on my TV and the Dvd player had SET UP on its screen. I use the HDMI. What can i do to fix this problem.

Do you have error message E-1000 on the screen? We keep getting this then it goes back to set up - we try to restore factory settings then we end up going blank screen - this repeatedly happens

Check the leads our pushed in firmly, then turn the dvd player off leave for 5 - 10 mins turn back on and hopefully setup instructions will be displayed on your tv follow them thro and that should fix your problem :D

Could be a problem with the SCART vs HDMI output. Try CLEAR-CLEAR-4 to reset - worked for me!!

Dvdr24hd160f sound but no screen

Check out the thread at http://www.pcadvisor.co.uk/forums/index.cfm?action=showthread&threadid=311178&forumid=21 sounds like the same problem (pressing the HDMI button in error) the solution is towards the end of the thread.

its an outside chance but if you hold down the power button and the play button together when you plug the player in it usually resets the software. if it doesn't work, what the hell it was a freeby !

Lost my key code

press (input) the pp button on the remote 3 times press ok and it should be ok.then go into setup/function/lock and disable lock!
