I just purchased a vr-3225 but it came without a remote control. Can i use any Westinghouse remote control like the rmt 11 or 15 or do I have to use the RMT-13 in order for it to work? I've tried using a Universal Remote but to no luck. Thanks
Have you tried - 10178, this should work, the vr3225 only calls for the RMT-15, going by the website list for this tv.

More likely the filter caps failed and may have taken out the inverter fuse and the MOSFET in the inverter circuits also. yoo need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors due to bad caps: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums

if you mean that it do not opens with the computer ..it may have some settings are not supported...remove the rca cable from the computer ..and let it just show the not connected message ...(if it is powering to show it ) ...and try to load the factory default settings from the menu ...Press the square (rectangular maybe ) icon button ..and you will be in the menu ..and look for the default settings ..or ..try to see if it has another button but the menu and the arrows..cause that one should be the default loading (auto-adjust ) ...But ..if it has factory settings in the menu load them too ..cause this one may keep settings for colors and such and only try to adjust image looks..If nothing powers up ...but stays in stand by ..and shows that message ..try a power reset ..by unplugging for a few minutes..and hope it will forget the settings ..
If the issue goes on after all that ..it means it has a physical issue and need to get it to a tech...

Change the settings on your HDMI output to 720 progressive for resolution. The tv likely cannot handle the 1080 resolution, or the tv can only use interlaced (1080i or 720i) format.
