I tried to mail too many pictures. My outbox keeps trying to mail them, but times out. I can't delete the files from the outbox. Now I can't send anything. How can I delete the 2 files?? Thanks

fisrt check you are well connected to internet.
second check your mail parameters are right
third check your mail server allow you send this file format and size.

delete the old failed messages out of the outbox.. delete ALL messages from the OUTBOX.. if they have failed previously or are too big they might sit there, then every time you go to send a new one or hit send/recieve to get new ones, it will try to send them again.

That is because it is taking a long time to send the photos. If you want to kill it off, you have a few options. First off, try to close Outlook. If it fails to close, then you can try to kill it off using Task Manager.

Now, this part is tricky. Once Outlook has closed, you want to get in and delete the message in the outbox FAST! So, try this. Start Outlook and immediately go to the Outbox, select the msg and delete it. If you dont do this fast enough, it will begin to transmit it and you will be stuck with the same problem.

If this does not work , you can try going in to your mail accounts (Control Panel) and disabling your accounts (basically dont give Outlook an account to send/receive from/to). Then delete the msg from your Outbox, then go back and re-enable the accounts.

It is not because of any virus dont panic

try to search for *.srs files before searching enable show hidden files and folders and search

rename or delete the file once you find the file let me know if you need further assistance

Whenever I send attachments like pictures on MS Outllok 2003, the e-mail gets hung up in my Outbox and yet the recepient gets my e-mail about 12 times. I have to go into the outbox the next day and try to delete it many, many times until it gets deleted.I'm using Vista on a new HP system. I hope you can solve this problem that has plagued me for a long time, even with MS Office 2007.

you pictures is too large that the sending keeps it sending long enough and it slows down since its sending a huge data out to the server. usually it sends up to 2mb ..and usually it takes long and when you keep it usually attemps to send it again. Delete that in your outbox and try to resize the image.

Tools > Options > Mail Setup > Send/Receive > Clear check mark on "Schedule Automatic Send/Receive every .. minutes" > OK

Close your Outlook > Open Outlook again > Go to Outbox > Select The message > Send To/Move To Draft

Go to Draft Folder and delete it from there

I havent seen that problem with Outlook Express just with Microsoft Outlook. but this solution should work with outlook express to.
here how you solv it. you need to remove the outbox file manually. remember that all your outbox files gonna be deleted.
step by step.
1.close outlook express
2. go to C:\Documents and Settings\"your user name"\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\("alot of numbers here.->"{7850C6E6-099E-4EFD-A3F5-A88CA4FC6169}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\

* if you can find Local settings you need to show hidden files!
a. go to tools>folder options->view-> mark show hidden files and folders-> ok

3.in the map outlook express delete the outbox.dbx or move it somewhere.

4. try now to start the outlook express and the outbox should be empty.
