My Kenwood SB300 Smothie maker blade won't whizz around

I received this Smoothie maker as a present in Christmas 07 but did not use it till Autumn 08. I use it about once a wk. This morning I added frozen fruit, they were all broken up as per manual but nothing happened. There was noise but when I emptied back out the fruit, I could see the blade was not turning. I plugged out the machine and turned the glass container upside down to tighten the bolt underneath the blade but I could not seem to tighten it, as bolt was very loose. Any help would be much appreciated as I have only used the Smoothie maker for a few months. I am living in Cork, Ireland. If you direct me tot he nearest help centre

Spigot for smoothie elete 2000 where can i find one mine broke

Unfortunately Back to Basics has decided to do all of their parts in house, so we can no longer get parts from them. We have none of the Blade Assemblies left in stock, so you will have to contact Back to Basics directly.
Here is a link to replacement parts on their website:

Smoothie maker 600

Check to see if the jar has any cracks or if the blade assembly or collar have any cracks.
Is it possibly leaking from the tap valve?
If the blades or tap lever are cracked I would recommend replacing them, however if the jar is cracked i would just buy a new blender. These are great for smoothies but they are all discontinued and parts wont be available for much longer.
