SOURCE: kenmore side by side ice maker

Hello,
There are as you can imagine many possible causes for you no ice condition. I will give you the most common problem for the year model you have. I hope this helps you.
You will need to remove the ice maker from the freezer compartment to check it. Once it is repaired if the following information does help, and you reinstall the ice maker, it should go through a cycle automatically within an hour of your reinstalling it in the freezer compartment.
Once you have the ice maker out of the freezer compartment you will need to remove the white cover on the end of the ice maker and look at the center of the large white gear. If the part inside the hole in the center of the gear is broken or looks twisted, you will need to replaced the module. The module is the part that has the large white gear and is held in the ice maker by 3 phillips head screws. It only comes as an assembly. You can't get just the little broken piece.

SOURCE: Ice maker not getting water

Hi, The first thing to check is the inlet tube going through the back wall. Make sure it isn't plugged with ice. If the inlet is open, you can remove the front cover on the ice maker and locate the to holes marked M an N. Use an insulated wire and strip off about 1" on the ends. Insert the wire ends into these hole and see if the white gear on the ice maker head starts to turn. Let it advance through the cycle and see if you can hear the inlet valve hum when calling fpr water. If water enters the icemaker, you will need to replace the head modual board or the whole ice maker. There is not much difference in cast.
I hope this helps you. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

SOURCE: Kenmore Side by Side not making ice

This problem is most likely the water control valve on rear of refrigerator. If your ice maker is empty pour tap water inside it and let it freeze. If it dumps the ice then the water control valve. If nothing happens the the thermostat inside the ice maker is defective. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Most likely your water control valve for the icemaker side, you can check the ice maker by filling with water and when freezes and if dumps then the water control valve. Part number WR57X10032

My refrigerator does not make ice. I have to manually poor water in the icemaker to make ice.My water dispencer works but no water refills ice maker

Hi, The first thing you want to check is the inlet tube where the water spills into the icemaker. Most of the time, the tube gets plugged with ice preventing the ice maker to fill. If there are no blockages, check the inlet valve on the ice maker side of the valve. You can test the valve when the ice maker cycles and see if it is getting 120V. If there is voltage and the solenoid does not engage, replace the inlet valve.
Please let me know if this helps you or if I can assist you further.

Icemaker

Do you hear it trying to draw water into the ice tray? If so, there might be an internal problem you can't fix yourself. especially since the fridge is dispencing water. Is the arm inside the ice maker pushe down? This is what tells the ice maker to fill and make the ice.

Let me know if this helps.

Hi, it sounds like you have a bad auger motor on your dispencer. If the button works for water, usually it will work for ice. It is also possible that you have a bad dispencer control board. If you would provide me your model # I could assist you further.

Sid by side ice dsspencer and water dispencer(all the indicator light suddently are shut off) not working

you could have a problem with your dispenser module. a burnt pcb that could lead to all of your problems. switches not working, lights not working, dispenser not working, etc.

check your dispenser module and if you find a burnt part or a burnt PCB, then replace it.

tnx 4 using fixya,

Texas, sounds like your water reservoir is frozen up. Remove your 2 cripser drawers, you will see the reservoir behind them. Take a hair dryer and go over the tank and tubing ends. See if the water starts flowing. I find a lot of frozen water reservoirs on these french door models. They have a insulation kit for them. Catriver.
