Likely your flasher unit was failing or you had a bulb out somewhere. Flasher should be on right side of steering column under dash yours could be a "combination flasher" Older models had flashers on fuse box under dash on left side.

Seems like an Earth problem for the RH lights.
Grab a Jumper lead. Attach one end to a good earth (engine or Neg. Battery post).
Other end to the RH metal mud guard.

Fast Blinker

Usually a fast turn signal means that there is a light out. You should probably check all of your lights, including back-up lights, and turn signals. If there is one out then replacing the burnt out bulb should fix the problem.

Blinker problem

When I took the bulb out a second time to check for good connections and re-inserted it, it worked for the left blinker. I tried the the same thing for the right blinker but found that if I had to slightly twist the bulb in the socket for it to work. I removed the bulb, gently moved the metal connections out a little further (making sure not to break the lead) with a screwdriver and re-inserted it. That worked. Since I drive down a lot of dirt roads that are bumpy, I may have to repeat this if the connection comes loose.
