If u have read the agreement before installing samsung media studio which came with the player it shows it doesn't guarantee that if u update da software it wuld work......so rather than updatin it go wid da original one wich came wid da player......it wuld definitely show ur uploaded files......

I have had the same problem several times. Each time I needed to flash the firmware. Go to Samsung.com support > download center > type in the model number (yp-mt6) click on firmware, and download the version that corresponds with your device. install the firmware updater on your computer, plug in your device. and flash the firmware. (this will erase ALL songs and settings so you will want to back those up first). After that its like brand new. Kepe the updater handy, I fixed this the first time, and it kept reoccuring every few months.
have you tried updating the firmware? Go to Samsung.com support > download center > type
in the model number (yp-k5jab) click on firmware, and download the
version that corresponds with your device. install the firmware updater
on your computer, plug in your device. and flash the firmware. (this
will erase ALL songs and settings so you will want to back those up
first). After that its like brand new. Keep the updater handy, since this might crop up again.
I plug in my mp3 player and it will say: charging. then it jumps to:

Hi. My Inovix mp3/4 player suffered a similar fate when it crashed during a Firmware reload. The player went completely dead and wasn't even recognised by the computer when plugged into the USB port.
I basically kept on trying - a couple of times whenever I used the computer - using different ports.
2 days later - 'ding-dong' - Windows XP suddenly recognised something was in the port, and I tentatively attempted a Firmware reload.
Success! (Don't ask me to explain it tho'...)
What you probably need is a firmware update. Many people seem to have this problem and it is fixed when you update the firmware from 1.03 (the one that comes with it) to 1.05
Here's the link to the firmware update: http://www.samsung.com/tw/support/productsupport/download/FileView.aspx?cttfileid=1536296&type=&typecode=200600&subtype=&subtypecode=200601&cmssubtypecode=&model=YP-K5QB&filetype=FM&language=
TRY THIS!
Download the latest firmware and flash the MP3 player. Make sure you download the correct firmware for your MP3 player and follow the instruction carefully.
