The light flashing 5 times is normal at turn on as the set is monitoring current drain on the pictures tube cathodes. Any speakers near the set that have un-shielded magnets could possibly cause color issues.

Try turning down (off) the color during such an episode. If the image is tinted pink or green instead of black and white when you do this,you have either an intermittent short in your CRT (tube), which is terminal,or a gun drive problem, which may be repairable. If you're feeding it component instead of composite signal,it may just be a bad connection of the B-Y cable.

Lamp Cover is not attached properly.
Please remove lamp cover and make sure to fix it properly, well seated in its place and tight screw. There is a safety switch under lamp cover that should be pressed when lamp cover is closed.

if it could not solve ur problem ..then u have to change LAMP..
