The potentiometer that controls the volume is faulty. I am ready to buy the complete volume control if anyone has one for sale

if you are a technically skilled person
simply clean all the IC(chip) leads, by using a blower or using a painting small brush
the dust come in contact with the other pins that make this problem

Speaker is bad or the cable may have come loose. Has it been knocked around? If so it may have pulled the cable loose inside the speaker, try playing a song and wiggle the wire and push the wire in gently to see if it starts to play if it does you have found your problem. If not then the speaker is bad and I don't remember if you can pull it apart and buy a new speaker to install in it. Thanks for using Fix-ya and if this helps please rate this free question.

if the volume controls of the speaker is set to 100% together with the volume control on your computer then still get a low volume, try some other device where you can use your speaker like mp4,if still got same problem, bring it to a service center there might have a problem with the amplifier.

just sone it, i had to break a whole in the bottom part , work my way around it with a screwdriver , it will snap every 2-3 cm and come off in the end.
after its off start at the (now exposed) bottom of the front bit and work your way up and aroud `till it comes off. mind the wires . as for the volume button fix , as soon as i played with it and tried it again , everything was good. even though replacing it doesn`t seem like a big deal
put it back together and will superglue it in the future( while typing this i doubt if it will ever happen), and it lookes good( except from the bottom ,where its broken !).
now the button is solid and the sound as well.
