My transformer is plugged in and on and the digital display is working, but the lights don't work. I've changed the light bulbs and even tried new wire between the transformer and my first light to rule out the wire. When I used a voltage tester, I got a positive reading on the power cord and the A and B connecter screws on the back. When I attatched the old and even the new wire, it shows no voltage to those connecters. I remove the wires...voltage. Why would it not give a reading when wires are connected? Help!!!
Voltage drop because transformer is not putting out enough power as when it was new.
Or Short along the wire somewhere.
Connect new wire and 1 bulb, but do not connect to existing wire.

I've already connected new wire and used just one to test with the new wire...no good. The Voltage dropped to nothing when tested with the meter.
Last possible cause: incoming voltage has droped below 80% rated voltage. 120V x 80% = 96volts. Use multimeter set to read volts ac, and test both prongs of outlet. Bring extension cord from indoor outlet and check transformer again. The Intermatic/Malibu ML series timers are generally robust and have 5 year limited warranty (warranty contact information shown on link in first answer) .... However power packs can burn out with ordinary power outage or other surge event. Also read tips for next power pack replacement. Note: the malibu and non-Intermatic power packs have 1 year limited warranty.

Use "A" and "B" terminals. The "C" terminal is a "dummy" terminal - it isn't connected to anything inside the transformer. It is used as a splice point in the event you decide to connect a photo cell (dawn to dusk) controller.

Testing ohms across A and B will read open circuit through transformer coil.
Testing DC voltage across terminals A and B should read 12 volts DC, and nothing less.
Transformer should make humming sound when working.
Test that receptacle has power and breaker is not tripped.
There are no repair parts for power packs, but they come with 5 year limited warranty.
