My Creative Zen won't turn on or so sizes of charging.

I have only had my Zen for about 6 months. And i carry it around usually in my back pack. But when it had stopped working it had just been sitting on my night stand. And then 2 days later i picked it up and went to put songs on it and it wouldn't show up on the computer or turn on at all. Then i tried to charge it and it didn't charge at all.

I have the same problem. My Zen seems to be completely dead. It won't turn on or connect to my computer. When I tried to turn it on, I see a blue light flashing briefly under the on/off switch. Using a paperclip to push the reset button didn't do anything either. Any other suggestions?

This has happened to me, too. I've only had my Zen for four months, and it conked out and wouldnt turn on.

Recharging and reset didnt help, either.

I have the same problem. My Vision M will not turn on at all. When I plug it in the with the power adapter, all i get is a steady blue light. When I plug it in the computer I get nothing. I've tried everything in the knowledge base. Leaving it on charge for hours on end, pushing the reset button while holding the power button on. Has anyone got any other ideas?

On the bottom is a very small hole. Put a pin in and push, it will start your creative up again.

If pushing in the reset button doesn't work, try recharging your battery for a few hours. I figured that a flashing blue light might mean that the battery was low, so I just connected the Zen to my computer and let it sit there for awhile. After about 30 minutes, I saw the battery charge icon appear. I let the battery fully charge and was able to turn on the Zen and connect it to my computer to add more songs.

My zen wont turn on or charge up and I don't know how to reset it, is there a button??Its a creative zen v plus 1GB

Hello,

Support site for the Zen V Plus, see:

In the knowledge base solutions Creative gives next answer, when the player does not power on or charge:

>>>>>
To resolve this problem, establish that the player is charging correctly as follows:
  1. Connect the player to a USB port on the back of a desktop PC, to a powered hub, or to a power adapter ( You can purchase the power adapter here as a separate accessory).

  2. Press the reset button and observe the player.

  3. Check the display for the charging icon battery_ac_charge_1.jpg.
    • As the display times out after a few seconds, press any button on the player to reactivate the display.

    • If the battery is fully depleted, the charging icon may not be displayed. Cup the player in your hands to check that the blue power LED behind the Play/Pause and Options buttons is glowing on and off repeatedly. This indicates that the player is successfully charging. After 1 hour of charging, power on the unit to activate the display. The charging icon should be displayed.

  4. Allow the player to charge for at least 6 hours. During this time, if charging from a USB port, please ensure your PC does not enter a power conservation mode (Standby, Sleep, or Hibernate) as this will interrupt charging.
Creative recommends updating your ZEN V or ZEN V Plus firmware to take advantage of new features and functionality. To learn more, visit SID 29048 in our "Further Suggestions".
Note: If the player does not indicate a charge, or will not power on after at least 6 hours of charging, please contact Customer Support.

Creative zen won't turn on

If you have windows set to do automatic updates, you most likely had a windows update installed that caused this conflict with Win Media Player 11. No fix has been posted by Microsoft yet, so the only workaround is to Uninstall/Rollback Windows Media Player 11. Goto <Control Panel<Add/Remove Programs and remove Windows Media Player 11. Follow prompts, restart computer when prompted to. Also uninstall Windows Media Player 11 Runtime application following same procedure above.
This will roll your Windows Media Player back to version 10 or 9, whichever you had installed prior to version 11. You will need to re-configure Windows Media Player again.

Your Zen should now be recognized by WMP and Creative software. You probably need to upgrade your firmware at this point, follow the instructions on upgrading your firmware, and you should be good to go.

This is a windows problem, not a creative problem. Dont blame Creative for the screwed up hotfixes that Microsoft puts out on a regular basi

Creative zen won't turn on

I had a similar problem with my Zen Vision:M, whereby the computer just stopped recognizing my device. I found out it was because Windws has updated to Service Pack 3 automatically, and for some reason my player only works with SP2. It started working again when I installed SP2 again, but then I keep getting the annoying upgdate notifications from windows.

Zen M

Hello, Akolcheva -

Even rechargeable batteries eventually lose their ability to be recharged and need to be replaced. I suspect you need to purchase a replacement battery for your Zen M, install it, and charge it for use. I see there are several online sources for ordering Zen M replacement batteries. Also, since Zen M is a product of Creative, you may find better help by posting on the relevant product forum here: http://forums.creative.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 . Note: If you are not already registered with the Creative Products forums, you can register for free. Then, you will need to log in to post your question.

Best wishes.

Try charging it with a creative charger or bring it down to its retail store. The battery might be completely drained flat.
