I thing you will purchase some interesting games for the game consoles.

Check your serial number on your Wii. If it starts with KU, it can't read them. If it starts with LU, and it's ONLY GC games it won't play, then your system needs to be repaired.

Out of warranty repair cost is $85 plus tax for America.

What to do when your Wii Has problems with reading disks and you have tried cleaning the disk.

This does not mean your Disk Drive needs replacing more often than not it just needs the laser to be readjusted.

Option 1

You can send this off to Nintendo if your still in warranty because it is included in there free fixes so they will do the collecting for you, fix it and return the Wii to you, all for free, but it will take 4-6 weeks.

Option 2

If you are out of warranty its the same process as above but its $150 in cost

Option 3

now a new Disk drive would cost around $75 for a compatible one and you may need some one to fit it at a cost as well.

Option 4

What I recommend is a Wii Repair Guide that will show you the simple steps yourself, you will be up and running again in less than an hour and the cost is far less than option 2 & 3

HI... Someone technical needs to open it up and fix the laser assembly

1. Try plugging something else into the socket to ensure the socket itself is working.
2. Changing the fuse in your Wii power adapter, blown fuses are very common and this could be it.

if the game could not be read its scratched or some wiis dont work with down loaded games

this is actually a problem with lots of games. It seems from what i read it is only co-op online so what you assume is correct.

I heard something on youtube about that. It seems that the disc is hitting on the case so you would have to take it apart and fix it.
