the printer can work with one single cartridge.. but you can try by right clicking on the printer icon and choose "use printer online" .
if that does not resolve the issue .. do a L2 uninstalla..
for this .. put the CD .. and then choose open.. now, go to UTIL folder and then to ccc ..
now, choose uninstall L2 .. this time you may have to unplug the USB cable ..
restart the computer after L2 uninstall and then restart.. this should resolve the issue.
Go to printer and faxes option and choose the printer model which you installed just right click on it you will see the option of use printer online. Hope this helps. Please rate my response. Thanks. Have a good day.
If it used to work, then try unplugging and
reconnecting the AC power cable for USB scanners. No guarantees at all,
but it may work. Unplugging and reconnecting the Firewire cable in XP
also sometimes works. Give it a few seconds to be detected.
go to start and control panel, choose option for Printers and under that you will see the Printer listed. You just have to make a right click on the Printer and choose option "USE PRINTER ONLINE"
First try reinstalling drivers for your printer from original CD, if that doesn't help update your drivers from the Internet.
If none of it helps, try connecting your printer to another computer and see if it will behave the same. If it does, then printer is ready for retirement.
