Sounds like fan inside blower housing is hitting something when motor is running.

It sounds like you may have a cracked or broken impeller

Remove impeller housing cover. Insert screwdriver carefully into back of motor to keep the armature from turning then unscrew impeller clockwise or opposite the direction of operation. Replace seal on impeller and pump housing. Lube seal with graphite. Replace impeller and housing cover. Remove screwdriver from motor. You should be good to go.

How do i get the motor housing apart to clean the inside of it. I live in a place with very little humidity. I run the humidifier 24 hours a day for 6 months out of the year. The motor housing gets...

I don't think they want you to open the motor housing as it could cause them problems. This unit was not intended to do the job your asking it to do and you should consider a humidifier for your home or apartment. they can be added by a HVAC man and are not to expensive. I think this would help you with both your problems.

Or put some CLR threw the motor and it will clean it up.

I have an AEG HES 50 that needs an new power cord, I am prepaired to repair it myself but, I need to know the secret to getting the housing off the unit. can you lend any help/ideas, I have removed all...

There are 2 screws holding the Top Handle (one on each side). Remove them and the Top Handle will lift off.
Then there are 6 screws in the Motor Housing. The two in the middle are recessed into the housing. Remove them and the Motor Housing will come apart. Watch out for the brushes and brush springs when you pull it apart.

I have a water leak from where motor meets the housing (housing gasket) even after I replaced it (housing gasket). I don't notice any crack in casing. What did I do wrong?

Your seal plate could be warped or check for dirt at the base of the housing when you take it apart also check the brass gromets the six bolts screw into on the main housing. If these are pulled out at all you will need to replace the housing.

Having trouble removing the motor from the bosch table saw. i have removed the four black screws from the black housing but it does not want to seperate from the aluminum housing. it will turn seperate...

tilt the saw head and then use a screwdriver to gently pry apart. the bearings in the housings are keeping it from coming apart or the armature and or field are melted causing this, either way the screwdriver trick will work.

Bosch 4000 table saw disassembly

turn the motor housing slightly until you can put a screwdriver between the housing and diaphragm, pull on the one side and push with the driver and it will come apart, I just did one yesterday. To get the armature out of the fan bearing you will need a dead blow hammer to tap on the diaphragm while pulling on the armature. The bearing is held in place with 2 screws, hope this helps.

Wiring schematic oreck xl2600hh

I have a Oreck XL and the propeller that is in the housing will become hard for the moter to turn. I have took it apart and do not see a problem, but when I reinstall the parts it will run for about 15 sec. and the moter will stop turning. When the propeller housing is off the motor turns ok and doesn't stop. Do I need a new propeller/housing?
