if it has WLAN which mostly llaptops have now adays look for Dish antenna like sign on the front panel of laptop it might be somehwere on function keys if u find it just pree it with the FN key it will turn on pls check in ur config on the box or beneath the laptop there should be written somewhere intel 2200 BG or 3945 bg or intel 4965 BG then it has wifi otherwise not there is no need ofr finding it but it should be there if u bought like after 2005

Please make sure the drivers for your wireless network adapter is installed.
1) go to Device manager - rightl click on my computer and click on properties, select HARDWARE tab then click on Device manager
2) See if the wireless adapter is displayed under Network adapters. If there is an yellow exclamation mark on the Network adapter, it means the drivers for your adapter are not installed.
3) If you find the drivers ok, then make sure that the wireless radio button is turned on. Usually the wireless radio can enabled or disabled from a tray Icon on right side of the system. Most of the system also come with a on/off switch for the wireless radio which is basically on the front side of the laptop.
If the above does not help please revert with the model number of your system and I will try some other steps for you

why is it that when I press Fn+F5 the pop-up window does not appear? I already switched on the wireless switch still nothing happens not even the signal bar appears....please help me with this....
