The yellow wires on back one has a white cap the other has a red cap those are the input wires you need to buy the cord that goes from a red and white RCA jack to a 3.5mm headphone jack

What does it do anything- does it take the disc in and make clicking sounds? We need more info that it doesn't play to be able to offer any idea of what you are dealing with.
Lets give it a try. The purchasedate will be 1991 (HI).
I'll suppose you allready cleaned the laserunit.
You can try to clean the laserslides, sometimes they are sticky and dry. Then the laser is not fast and precise enough to read the index of your CD.
Clean them with some alcohol on cottontips.
When they are really clean, use just a little teflonoil to make sure the laserunit slides very smoothly.
My guess is yes. The easiest way to find out, is to take a burnt CD, and stick it in there. If it doesn't come up reading error, or doesn't remain silent, then it plays them. Let me know what happens.
