I have a 2005 Ford Escape. I drove it home from work last night. Then the next morning when I went to start it... nothing. My lights came on and the dashboard light lit up, and made its usual dinging sound, but the engine did not turn over. There was also NO clicking sound, as usual with a battery problem. I had the battery tested at Advance Auto Parts and it tested bad. I buy a new battery and that still has not fixed the problem. Anybody have an idea? Is there some fuse that could have gone out? Some reset switch I need to hit. Bad starter? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Have the battery charged and retested also have alternator tested , If that's bad the batter will not charge and drain it again .. Good luck
I am having the same problem. Just had a new alternator put in 2 years ago so I don't think it's that. I put it on the battery charger and it started, went down the road and the car died. It wants to turn over but just isn't. All interior and exterior lights go on. Any suggestions?
