When necessary to immobilize the treadmill, set display to read SELECT A WORKOUT. (Press the STOP Key
twice if not already there). Then hold down the SPEED DOWN Key and press the STOP Key. The treadmill
now displays IMMOBILIZED. In this state, the treadmill cannot be operated. The main motor and incline are
disabled. The treadmill will remain in this state across resets, power cycles, etc. To restore normal operation,
repeat the same key sequence: hold down the SPEED DOWN Key and press the STOP Key. The treadmill will
display SELECT A WORKOUT again.

Anti-theft system problem , possibility ! Do you have a security light blinking ? Security Indicator
The security indicator is located in the clock on the top of the instrument panel. The light emitting diode (LED) displays the immobilizer system status. The immobilizer contains the LED driver hardware for direct connection of the LED.
Vehicle Theft Deterrent (VTD) Operation
The immobilizer system design prevents vehicle theft by interrupting the engine operation. The immobilizer system prevents the vehicle from starting. The engine operating functions interrupt if the immobilizer system does not recognize the transponder identification code of the ignition key. The immobilizer system and the content theft deterrent system do not interact. The system includes the following components:
?€¢
The ignition key

ERROR 37.0 DUCATI

Immobilizer and transponder
The Immobilizer allows the vehicle to be started only if the rider uses the special ignition key which sends the identification code to a decoder fitted into the instrument panel. The emitting - receiving system is made of a "TRANSPONDER" fitted into the ignition key heads and an antenna close to the ignition lock.
Transponder keys
The two keys contain the secret master code for programming the immobilizer system and allowing engine start is stored into this key;
Transponder is included into the key head and consists of a power supply circuit, a ROM (Read-Only Memory) and a transmission circuit. The Transponder is power supplied through the magnetic field generated by the antenna which is enabled as soon as the instrument panel is switched on. As it is very compact and needs no outer power supply through a battery, it is directly fitted into the key head.
Warning
Circuits into the key head are not shockproof.
Immobilizer antenna
The antenna consists of a plastic-coated copper coil connected to wires ending up with a connector.
The antenna (A) is fitted onto the ignition lock into its specially designed seat.

Operating principle of the immobilizer
When the ignition key is positioned to ON, the decoder into the instrument panel energises the antenna, which generates an electromagnetic field power-supplying the key transponder. The Transponder sends the code stored into its ROM, which is received by the antenna and sent to the decoder. Here the secret code is matched with a second code. If this comparison proves successful, engine starting is enabled.
Immobilizer warning lights and indications
When the ignition key is turned to OFF, the immobilizer inhibits engine operation. When the ignition key is turned back to ON to start the engine, the following happens:
1) if the code is recognised, the immobilizer enables engine starting. Press the START button (2), to start the engine;
2) if the diagnostic light (8) comes on and the page with the message "Error IMMO" is displayed when you press button (1) in position B "t", it means that the code was not recognised. When this is the case, turn the ignition key back to OFF and then to ON again. If the engine still does not start, try with the other black key. If the other key does not work out either, contact the DUCATI Service network.

Caution
When programming the immobilizer as described below, use only the required key and keep the other keys away otherwise they might interfere.
Removing the immobilizer
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Disconnect Immobilizer antenna connector (21).
Note
Reference (21) is the same that is indicated in the diagrams under "Arrangement of wiring on frame", Sect. P 1.

Remove the immobilizer antenna wire ties.
Loosen screws (1) securing Immobilizer antenna protection to ignition switch.
Remove the cover (2) and the Immobilizer antenna (3) clear of the key-operated switch.

Refitting the immobilizer
Apply a drop of Loctite inside cover (2).
Locate antenna (3) to cover (2), and secure it in place with the two pegs (A) of the cover.
Fit the cover on the key-operated switch, easing the antenna wire downwards.

Tighten the cover starting screws (1) in their thread.

Tighten the screws to the specified torque (Sect. C 3, Frame torque settings).

Immobilizer active reset on 2006 volkswagon passat

First of all you need to programm all ignition keys using suitable diagnostic equipment (VAS, VAG-Com) connected to the data link connector of the car.

You have an electronic immobilizer key recognition problem. Now your key chip is not recognized by the transponder antenna fitted on the ignition switch barrel.

tdisline_775.jpg

This warning lamp indicates that the engine is locked by the immobilizer system, and the engine start sequence must be repeat again.

From year 1995 in Audi-VW (VAG) cars is used engine immobilizer. The VAG group immobilizer system consists of an immobilizer ECU which controls the recognition of keys and the Engine Management ECU system. Immobilizer is activated when the ignition key is removed and, together with the engine control unit, largely prevents unauthorized starting of the engine. The system uses a transmitter and receiver unit in the ignition key (transponder). Whenever an attempt is made to start the engine, it transmits a new code to the car's electronics. The immobilizing is only cancelled and car motor electronic receives permission to start engine if the key sends a right authorization code.

Use another ignition key that you have, and start the engine.

2004 PACIFICA WONT START SERVICE IMMOBILIZER LIGHT ON VEHICLE WILL NOT DO ANYTHING

OK, if the vehicle won't start and the service immobilizer light is on then I would definitely take it to the dealer in order to have the key programmed to the computer, again.

Did the battery go dead lately? Is there a code associated with it not starting, as in the immobilizer function lamp?

or the key is not programmed to the ecm?
