I have a 5 blade, model UQ7076T with remote. Worked fine until 3 days ago. Now the remote wont work...even though the red light signals that it should be working. The real problem...there is NO switch for this unit, only the remote, so I don't have light or fan until I get it working. took it apart to check the bulbs and connections, changed batteries in the remote, checked the circuit box....any other suggestions? Thanks

Switch off TV, switch off power, remove plug and wait for 48 hours and retry. If problem persists, I suggest it is better to refer it to a qualified service technician, since the back cover has to be opened for investigation/rectification.
It sound that your remote control need serivce. In most cases, claning it will rectfy the problem. You can get more details about how to reapair, test or clean the remote control by entering this site "Electro-help". Search for it in Google.
in many of these remote controlled lamps you cant use the new spiral light bulbs .. you can only use standard incandescent lights .. if thats not the trouble then you may indeed have a bad controller (in the fan) .. there is probably at least a 90 day warranty maybe as much as 3 years .. make sure the wire nut power connections are secure inside the fan.. if one of the the wires in the fan are not making contact then you will see a similar problem .. once in a while i have seen strong external RF signals interfere with the controller but thats rare and usually doesnt last long ..
i would : 1. check all the connections .. 2. replace the light bulb to make sure its not flakey or the wrong type .. 3. try to get the fan replaced in warranty ..
might have roasted your speakers voice coils a little which may be sending the amp into protect mode throw a speaker on it that you know works and if it doesnt trigger the protect circuit then you probably have a blown or almost sub.
I have the exact same situation, except my model (139.53607) is older than yours and does not even have an LED. Remotes only works after after shop light goes off (5 minutes or so), but wall button works fine. Did call Sears Service and the tech told me the logic board is probably shot. Don't want to waste money on service call so I'll probably have to buy a completely new unit in the Spring and go through the winter without the use of a remote.
It sounds like the wall button has the lock feature engauged.
Is there a small green LED flashing inside the wall button?
Push and hold the lock button for about two seconds and the LED should stop flashing. This will unlock the garage door opener and your remotes should start working. You may have to reprogram your remotes and homelink again since you triedprograming in the lock mode.
The Bose codes for Comcast remotes for both the Cisco (labeled Xfinity) and Scientific Atlanta (labeled Comcast) DVR remotes are 31229 and 31933. 31933 worked with my Bose CineMate Series II
