Turn off the sound recording. The camera will not let you use the optical zoom while recording sound so as not to record the sound of the lens zooming. See page 16 of this manual.

What size film does olympus c-3000 camera take or is there a film that is compatible for this camera

It's a 3.4 megapixel digital camera. It doesn't use any kind of film at all but stores them on SmartMedia memory cards which are now obsolete but still easy to buy online.

See web address below for more on this model:-

What is the button on the bottom of Olympus Stylus zoom 140

No. You just rewound the film. The pictures you took are safe, but you probably 'lost' the rest of the film you did not shoot.

Camera won't work, has an E on the display

If E blinks in the exposure counter, the film is improperly loaded. Reload the film.

Large, bright orange light streak in pictures

It does sound like a light leak, but hopefully all that has happened is that the foam seals surrounding the film compartment have perished and need replacing. With luck, this is unlikely to be expensive - check with your local camera shop or second hand camera dealer.

Type of batteries

Olympus recommends the use of Nickel-Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) rechargeable batteries or Olympus CR-V3 (LB-01) long-life disposable lithium batteries. The batteries are only used to power the camera. The print engine in the C-211 Zoom is powered by a battery pack self-contained inside each Polaroid® Type 500™ film pack.
