This model is a direct drive with only one pump, the drain pump. If the drain pump leaks, which is a common problem on these models, it will leak no matter what temperature wash is selected! If you a have a leak on cold, it will probably also leak on warm wash. Your problem is your solenoid operated fill valve on the cold side. Only one fill hose comes off of this combination fill valve to your fill plenum at the top back of your tub. So if it leaks on the cold, but not hot, check for a crack in the plastic housing of the valve on the cold half. The valve is located on the inside back of the machine on top right when looking at the front of the machine. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace.

First, always check for the obvious causes, if you haven't already, we all tend to overlook these.

1. Are water valves open, and if so is there water.

2. Check hose filter screens for plugging, or hoses themselves,

After these possible causes have been ruled out, check machine's inlet for both hot and cold taps for blockage, other wise you most likely have a bad fill valve, which are fairly cheap and simple to replace. If you have hard water, this is your best bet. These valves have two solenoids, one each for hot and cold, one or the other will energize when the temperature selector switch is selected for hot wash or cold wash, if warm wash is selected both solenoids energize to allow both hot and cold water to enter the machine and mix to warm.

Check the lint filter at the end of the hose. The filter is actually inside the washer. My husband cleaned it out and now ours works great. Both hot and cold had stopped running in because of our hard water.

you have a bad watwer inlet valve but the agit. has nothing to do with the water unless you are not getting enough into the machine to start the agit cycle

You can really thank the government for this- your washer has a 75/25 split valve (75 cold 25 hot--- so warm is mostly cold) which they mandated for all standard top load machines. In 2010 they are banning manufacting of all standard top loaders. The thermistor is because your machine has a ATC (automatic temperature control) system. It has a computer which monitors water temp for better laundry care. You could possibly have a repairman (this wouldnt be covered under warrany) try to retrofit a older service valve in your machine.

Most washers have a small screen at the water inlet valve. They can be accessed simply by revoving the hose from the back side of the washer, using a small screw driver you can carefully remove the screens and clean them out under a faucet.That may be all that is wrong.
