Time for a power supply repair.

is the sound like hissing or like a spark something like?hissing can caused by leaking of high voltage that is dangerous and sould be fix right away

Check to see if it will decrease on the TV itself,install fresh batteries, mash the down button on the remote applying a little pressure, button may be stuck. hope this helps..

I have Sanyo TV. This problem started after I got into a sub menu with choices of volume lock and channel lock. I accidently set it the volume lock to ON. I could not go to that menu again. It seems that this TV has the feature of securing the volume so that the kids can't change it. Any way to go to the locks sub menu?

I have had a similar problem with my tv, it has something to do with the power supply.Try unplugging your tv from the AC outlet. While unplugged from the power supply hold down the - volume control and then plug the tv back in while holding down the - volume control. It should bring up the service screen. If the screen turns on and is blank then it may need to be brought in for repairs.

If the screen does turn on, either blank or with the service menu, turn off the tv and unplug it from the power supply again. With it still unplugged hold down the power button on the tv and then replug in the tv. continue to hold down the power button until the tv displays a video signal on screen.

Sounds like you have a bad speaker,or at the most the audio amp needs changing. Get old speaker out of another tv or stereo.
