I bought a new iPod and I'm trying to sync it with my itunes account. Everything transfers except for the TV shows.
1. The automatic settings in iTunes and iPods will not allow you to sync two iPods with one version of iTunes or sync an iPod with multiple versions of iTunes without the content being completely erased from the iPod. 2. This can be very aggravating if more than one person in your household owns an iPod or you want to add music from a friend's iTunes library to your iPod. Changing the iPod settings through iTunes will let you sync more than one iPod on one computer.
3. Open the iTunes software. Connect one of the two iPods to a USB port found on the one computer. If a small window opens in iTunes after the program recognizes the iPod, you can close the window by clicking "No" or the "X" in the window. 4. Click the name of the iPod positioned under "Devices" on the left side of iTunes. When you highlight the iPod name, a variety of tabs will appear at the top of the iTunes program. 5. Choose the "Summary" tab and options will be listed in the middle of the program. Select the option labeled "Manually manage music and videos." If a window opens, click "OK." 6. Click "Apply" in the bottom right corner to change the settings on the plugged in iPod. Leave iTunes open. Repeat steps 2-6 with the second iPod you want to sync on the one computer.

Itunes can sync infinite ipods and should have no trouble, so there isnt a problem with having two ipods. Try this: turn off your ipod, hold the home button, and plug it into itunes while still holding the home button until a picture of the itunes symbol appears with a cable under it. itunes should say "ipod found in restore mode". this will get rid of any previous users' settings, and hopefully fix anything preventing itunes from syncing with your ipod.
SOURCE: Ipod Touch does not support file format for new HD downloads from Itunes?
I don't think it matters about whether there HD or not. They just have to be in mpeg 4 format compatible with Ipod. Do you have any software to convert the files into a different format?

first the easy part....1800 songs we will not move this one at a time..............plug ipod to pc..open itunes....see on left hand side of screen...pc (music, photo & video folders) and under that ipod (music, photo, video folders)..ok..click on pc (music folder) all your music shows up right ok..this time click & drag the pc (music) down to the ipod music folder and release....its 1800 songs so lets wait til the ipod is finish (look at the ipod file a circular motion is happening,,,,its loading).......once finish always eject your ipod...............now find where you are storing mp3 / mp4 on your pc...once you find it ..go to top bar view then click,on view details (artist, album, type, lenght) this where it will say mp3/4/wma/wav or flac file
