I plugged in The Card Reader/writer into my Dell computer. I want to transfer pictures from my computer to a memory stick, so that I can load them on a digital picture frame. My computer is asking for software to support the new hardware.

    Please clarify the following items:
What operating system are you using?
What is the manufacturer and model number of the card reader that you are using?
Did the card reader come with any type of CD or other disk?

    Thanks in advance.

Try this:

Find out the model of your card reader, go to the site and download the software.

If help is needed send me the model of the card reader and I will post the software needed to install your card reader

I don`t have the software CD and can`t transfer my photos to my computer

Hello
if you dont have CD then an option to transfer data from phone to computer by a Memory Card Reader if you have SD card in your phone (most of phones do have). They will go by the name " 6 in One, 12 in one, USB Reader Writer or Flash Memory Card Reader Writer. They allow all memory sticks and cards to be recognized by your computer. On Windows XP, you just plug it in and find it as another drive on My Computer then just copy and paste the files you want to transfer.

Load pictures to computer to share

Hello
Here are some ways to transfer data from camera to computer:-
Run the software that came with your camera. Pop the CD into your computer and go through the setup steps. The only way you'll be able to transfer is if you have the software installed. If you bought the camera used or, for one reason or another, just don't seem to have the CD, you can probably find a used or maybe even a new one on eBay. You might be able to find it somewhere else as well.
Connect the camera to the computer. Let's face it, the pictures aren't going to the computer if there is no cord to connect them. Most of the time, you'll hear a sound or something will pop-up if the camera is connected properly and working.
Sync the camera to the computer and transfer the pictures. With most camera software, as soon as you connect the camera to the computer and it recognizes it, something will pop up asking if you would like to sync the pictures to the computer. After that it's pretty self-explanatory. If nothing pops up or it never was supposed to pop up in the first place, open the camera program. Most likely you'll be able to find your way from there. If not, read your camera manual. It should tell you even more than this how-to.
Another option is to buy a Memory Card Reader. They will go by the name " 6 in One, 12 in one, USB Reader Writer or Flash Memory Card Reader Writer. They allow all memory sticks and cards to be recognized by your computer. On Windows XP, you just plug it in and find it as another drive on My Computer.

Hope this helps, if so do rate the solution

How to transfer pictures, computer to ultra card reader/writer

Open up Windows Explorer. Not Internet Explorer. So you can see all your drives and subdrives.

Find your pictures. Let's say you had them on C:\My Pictures. Go there and copy them all. Then find out which drive your card reader/Writer is showing up as. Usually like G.

Once you've copied the pictures, switch to that drive and paste them. Remove the card reader and they should be on there.

Pictures are not loading from Camera to Computer

If you are not able to find your connecting cable. and i am assuming your need is to transfer the data to comp. Well what you can do is you can take out the memory card and fix it into the card reader (you will get a card reader vey cheap anywhere.). and connect it to your comp. Now your card will work as a flash drive and you can transfer data easily then... Hope this helps you out.. :)
