SOURCE: Environment: Windows Server 2008 as Print Server.

I believe you have to identify the accesories that are on the copier. I think you go to the printers section of the control panel on Windows. Right click the copier, select properties, then device settings. Look to see if you can change any of the options. If not you may have to reinstall the print drivers. Hope this helps.

How can i print multiple copies of the same document with 3 pages and have the printer staple the copies in the correct groups?

In the print driver you should have the option to collate, you need to make sure that that option is on, and when you go to send the print job, you need to make sure that you adjust the finishing options in the driver to tell it to staple.

Why do multiple copies sometimes staple together as one set instead of multiple sets?

I don't know how/why, but if you set the Print settings (main print screen) to non-collate and the Printer Properties (clicking in to get to the staple option) to collate, it works correctly, stapling each set individually.

Greyed out

If this is when you select this machine to print to, it may be because the print driver is not configured properly. Go to main driver under start, control panel, printer, right click on printer, select configuration, then auto configuration and select everything with a finger pointing to it. Then try again.

Help Konica Minolta c351 mac user

One is that the fold and staple option only works on 8.5 x 11 sized paper, thus printing onto a 11x17 spread and then folding. If letter paper is not selected, that will grey it out.

KONICA MINOLTA C450 VXL Printer - When stapling multiple copies it staples all the copies together rather than each one separately as required. I use vista operating system.

There is an issue with the Konica Print Driver and the MS Print Driver. If Collate is turned on in both the drivers, you will get this problem.

The solution is to turn off Collate on one of the Drivers. Usually you will have an initial Print Dialog window that pops up when you can select your printer, how many copies and if to collate or not. De-select Collate. Then you should also see Preferences Tab. If you select that tab, select Collate and Staple, your print jobs should now Collate and Staple correctly.

Staple function is grayed out - how do you turn it on.

You do n ot need to enter the Service Tech code to ajust finishers. In fact that code should rarely be entered.

Is the option available while copying?

If it in the driver, select the greyed out option and let the driver inform you of the problem/setting.

Has the finisher been identified in the "instaled options" tab of the driver?

Normally, the driver or panel will indicate what the conflict is if any. If all these have been set correctly, contact whomever installed this finisher and have them do it properly.
