It doesn't work like that with turn on the printer and etc..., etc..., you have to disassemble the printer of the sides to the write head after that u have to do 2 steps:

1. The green wire from the left side grab outside then turn on the printer
immediately turn off. Put the green wire bag on it's place.

2. On the right side on the motherboard u will found 2 white cable very thin, grab outside and turn on the printer,
immediately turn off. put the 2 cable back on it's places and turn on again the printer. Now it should work.

It works for me like that. Try and tell me if works for u too. See ya!

ERROR 0xc18a0001 Ink system has failed Quite new

Try the link below. This error is related to air in the lines between the print head and the cartridges. It is quite common and HP are very aware of this.

I hope this helps. Regards GM

Printing problem hp D7160 error 0xc18a0001 please help

Hi,problem can be solved .Please check out this link for the Ink System Failure problem.

fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/39471

These are from the link above:

Reset the system by holding down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color buttons down at the same time and turn the 3310 off. Keep holding the buttons down until the printer shuts off and then turn it back on. You will have to turn the printer off twice and then it will recalibrate.

Our HP 3310 was having the same ink system failure. Tried everything I could find, and had just about given up when I found this forum. I didn't quite get the reset right the first time, but on the second try it worked. After holding down OK, Cancel, Black and Color buttons while turning it off, I turned it back on, it turned itself off and I turned it back on again, it started off doing the calibration and it took about 5 minutes, but when it was finished I had a working printer again.

No I see no solution noted here. again Photosmart D7360 error message 0xc18a0001 ink system failure.

If you have lots of flashing error lights or electrical problems then it is likely to be electrical.

However, if like most... and your printer has just been left unused for some time? You probably have an ink clog on the cyan and magenta.

Provided it worked OK before a period of non-use? Then you just need to use a PRINT HEAD CLEANING KIT to unclog the tiny jets.
Magic Inkjet Flush usually works a treat on those!

Magic is ideal for unclogging the tiny jets on any Canon, Epson HP andremoving those horrible white lines which usually appear in prints whendried ink clogs several jets...

So if yours appears to be a clog? all you should need to do is to usethe Magic Inkjet Flush kit to soak the print head and you should beprinting again like new.
