How to connect my olympus fe-360 cam. to laptop as webcam

Use the connecting cord provided along and connect. The hardware -camera- will be detected on your PC, install and open to see the files/photos and copy or transfer. Also you can directly use your memory card to be downloaded if your PC/Laptop has the card reader.This can be done directly for transfering the photos. Hope this helps. Good day

No, it cannot be used as a webcam. I realize that wasn't the answer you wanted to see, but there it is.

Unfortunately there is no camera in the Olympus product line that has the capability to be used as a webcam. Once you connect the camera to your computer the only purpose is to be able to transfer your images from the memory card to the computer. The camera was not designed with any webcam functionality.

Unfortunately your digital camera is not capable to be used as a webcam. The camera only has the capability to be connected to a computer for downloading images from the camera to the computer.

Olympus cameras do not have the functionality to be used as webcams.

Yes there is, you can either use a multi card reader in which you will attach to your pc, or connect your cam to pc and loading the softwares for your olympus camera.

u did see this after pic below, and you have tried deleted usb controllers in device manager then reboot can u tell me if, cam lights up/does windows make a connection sound, when usb from cam is connected? posted by Jordiane on Nov 18, 2007 Report abuse

It says it is unable to find a camera connected to the USB ports. Any idea where I could find a driver to help this or is it another problem?

I had this same problem, I'm using Vista on my HP laptop and I managed to correct it. Apparently HP like to customize Vista and when connecting some USB device's they don't recognise them as what they should. A USB mass storage device. You will need to connect the camera to the computer, the camera will come on then click the ok button so it selects PC. Wait until it finishes its search click cancel and open device manager, scroll down and below Network Adaptors you should see an expandable tree with an yellow exclamation mark named Portable Device's --> FE-280/X820/C520 you will need to right click on the FE-280/X820/C520 icon and select "Update driver software". Then select "Browse my computer for driver software" then select "Let me pick from a list of device driver's on my computer" Scroll down till you see "Universal serial bus controllers" then select "USB Mass storage device" in the next window. It should all work fine now! If it still doesn't work try selecting "Portable devices" then select "WPD File system device" --> "Microsoft WPD filesystem Volume Driver".

so far the FE serie doesnt support "live streaming".
the other thing ... USB doesnt regard or power up the device.
it will just drain the battery out.
the only way to use it as a cam would me to plug in a USB2RCA adaptor AND a video card with a RCATV-in connector (not TV-out)
then again, you would still have the interface and bracket showing at all time.

i own a FE-500 and find it to be one of the bigess backdraw.
no "webcam mode" and not using the USB for power when uploading picture/video or display to RCA.

i do not know all about the FE serie but the specs mention
