SOURCE: Canon T90

It kind of depends on what exactly the problem is. If the problem is that the speeds are off, then that can likely be remedied without any new parts. It needs a clean, lube and adjust. If its due to the shutter curtains being worn and they need replacing, then there is a possibility that it uses the same curtain as another Canon model and parts can be had new for that model. Worse comes to worse, a parts body can be used for the repair.

Watch the cost of this stuff though. T90s on the used market are selling pretty cheap, so it might make more sense to buy another used and keep yours for parts.

Lens mount fit

None directly. The T90 was the last Canon camera to use the older FD lenses. All newer Canon SLRs, film and digital, use the EF mount. However, by using an adapter such as http://www.rakuten.com/prod/adorama-canon-fd-lens-to-eos-body-adapter-with-correction-glass/216466533.html?listingId=120668308, you can use the old lenses on any Canon digital SLR.

Canon T90 haven't used camera for 6 months, new batteries in camera will not function at all, was 100% O.K. when last used, any ideas please

Check to make sure the replacement battery or batteries are correctly installed. There should be some type of diagram in the plastic or label showing the correct orientation. IF the batteries are correctly installed and the T90 still persists in not operating then remove the batteries and clean all the terminals/connections either with a new rubber on the end of a pencil. I have as much as I hate to admit left batteries in my gear and had to resort to abrasive paper affixed to a new pencil to get down inside the battery chamber to clean the contacts. Also and I hope this is not the case the T90 has an internal battery and if this is dead then I'd suggest sending it to a repair facility. Most service places will clean lub and adjust and replace the battery for about $100.00 and Yes the camera is worth it even today in our digital world

Internal battery terminal corroded and fell off

I have the same problem on my Canon 10x42 IS WP binoculars. The Duracell copper top batteries leaked and corroded the inside of the battery holder. I will never trust those Duracell batteries again. They have ruined more than one expensive piece of mine. Just go to work and remove a few tiny screws to remove the rectangular cover screws to get at the battery holder screws and then lift the battery holder right out from inside the binoculars. You have to get inside the compartment to unplug the leads for your bad battery holder and then replace it with the new replacement battery holder which you can get from Canon for like $70. Go to the Canon website and call their toll free number and ask for binocular tech support and they will take your order for the replacement battery holder.

Canon T90 eee

I don't have a T90 or an FD lens, so can only guess what this means. This is quoted from the T90 manual:

"When you use the stopped-down AE mode with the FD lens, do not push in the stop-down lever with the lens set at the "A" mark. If you do, "E" marks indicating an error will appear to warn you of incorrect operation (EEEE EE in the viewfinder and EEE on the display panel), and the shutter is locked.

In this case, either push in the stop-down lever again to clear the stopped-down AE or remove the lens from the "A" mark. The error display will then disappear."

The stop-down lever is on the lower left front of the camera, and is what is usually now called the "depth of field preview" button. The "A" mark is the setting on the lens for fully automatic aperture control.

Flash speedlite 300

As long as it's an EX flash, it should be fine. Assuming that a T90 is a Canon...I have no idea about that.

T90 shutter

Hi Tim, I had the same problem , I took it to get it repaired & was told that it needed a new shutter solinoid , the repair cost £90 5years ago, you are probably looking at around £140+ today. mine has gone again & I am reluctant to spend that sort of money on it again. If you manage to get it repaired & there are periods of time when you wont be useing it take it out periodicly & just run the shutter a few times, it helps to stop it sticking. Good luck with whatever you decide to do . regards [email protected]
